

She was born to the late Nicholas and Evelyn Howard, on June 23, 1946, in Washington D.C. Susan graduated from DuVal High School in Lanham, MD in 1964. Susan married her loving husband, David A. Ennis on June 20, 1969. They were married for 53 years. They lived together in Seabrook, MD for 44 years before relocating to Dover, Delaware in 2018.
Susan is survived by her husband, David Allen Ennis. Two daughters; Karen Crosby (Mike) of Bowie, MD and Jennifer Yermal (Dave) of Laurel, MD. Five grandchildren also survive her; Kayleen Yermal, Brenden Crosby, Jenna Crosby, Shaelyn Yermal, and Andrew Yermal. Two sisters; Nancy Walters (Jim) and Elaine Beckman (Mike) and a host of nieces and nephews.
Susan enjoyed decorating cakes, sewing, and singing in her senior community choir. She also used her talents as an accompanist for choirs.
Susan loved her church where she served as the organist, a Bible study teacher, a children’s and adult choir director, a handbell director, a deacon’s wife, and faithfully served the Lord.
