

Susie moved to the Washington, DC area in 1969, where she began working at Hot Shoppes Restaurant. From there, she worked at The Hecht Company and eventually continued her employment at with University of Maryland until she retired in 2006.
Susie joined the Liberty Baptist Church in 1980, under Christian experience. At Liberty, she continued her Christian path and served as a member of the Senior Usher Board.
Susie was a kind, gentle soul. She was loved by many. She devoted her life to providing for and taking care of her family. She touched the heart and soul of everyone she encountered with her infectious smile and kind spirit.
Susie loved to cook and made sure that her children, grandchildren, and their friends had enough food to eat. Her love of cooking has been passed down to many. Her favorite line when she was asked how to make a dish was, "It's easy to do, all you need to do is...," then she would say, "That's all you have to do!", followed with a laugh; as if she had just instructed you to do the world!
Susie leaves behind to cherish her memories, three children, Mary Mosley, Samuel (Lena) Mosley, and Nakita (Johnny) Grant; six grandchildren, Sherrie Mosley, Marquette Mosley, Janise (Dymond) Winkfield, Javonte Mosley, Natasha (Ronald) Waller, and Maliak Mosley; six great grandchildren, Tershawn Bennett, Constance Tomlinson-Mosley, Pierr'a Mercer, Ava Grant, Ace Grant, and Na'riah Rivers; two sisters Cleo Mosley and Daisy R. Williams; and a host of other family members and friends.
Susie was proceeded in death by six brothers, George, William, Walter, Roy, James, and Linwood Mosley; and one sister Frances Sanders.
A visitation for Susie will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at External Service Location, 527 Kentucky Ave SE, Washington, DC 20003.
