

He was born in Whitakers, NC. The son of the late James M. Moody, Mary Elizabeth Henderson Moody, and stepmother Thelma Alston Moody. He had four brothers who preceded him in death, James Moody, George Moody, Alexander Moody, William Alston, and one brother-in-law, Henry Royster.
Thaddeus attended Swift Creek High School in Whitakers, NC and then relocated to the Washington, DC area. He worked for Capitol Printing and Ink for 30 years, and McArdle Printing company for 15 years.
His hobbies were fishing, traveling, and attending Washington Commanders “Redskins” games as a die-hard fan and season ticket holder for over 25 years. He took 11 cruises with his loving wife of 59 years. He visited the countries of Germany, France, and Italy. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Dee leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife Geraldine Coley Moody, two daughters; Stephanie Moody Williams (Eric) of Temple Hills, MD; Felicia Moody (Pernell) of Hyattsville, MD. Five grandchildren: Stefan Williams (Kamaren) of Largo, MD, Erica Williams of Raleigh, NC, Derrick Williams of Nashville, TN, Nathanial Williams (Crystal) of Charlotte, NC, and Jada Thomas of Hyattsville, MD. One sister Brenda Royster of Rocky Mount, NC. Three sisters-in-law: Blanche Moody of Clinton, MD, Gloria Alston of Fort Washington, MD, and Carolyn Coley of Wilson, NC. A special niece, Belinda Alston of Fort Washington, MD. He also leaves a host of relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on November 13, 2025, at 10:00 am at Kettering Baptist Church, located at 6909 Crain Hwy, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772.
A Celebration of Life will follow at the same venue at 11:00 am.
The committal will take place at 1:00 pm on November 13, 2025, at Fort Lincoln Funeral Home & Cemetery, 3401 Bladensburg Rd, Brentwood, MD 20722.
