TYWANNA was born on May 22, 1955 in Washington, DC to the late James Edmund and Evelyn Juanita Robinson Furbush (Nita). TYWANNA was the oldest of the three children born to this union. She was also preceded in death by brothers Elder Bernard Furbush Sr. and Nathaniel Hill, and a nephew Bernard Furbush Jr.
TYWANNA accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at the New Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Washington, DC by Rev. William Weaver. Her faith remained strong and sustained her throughout her life. The many times she was struck with life threatening illnesses, she believed and trusted in God throughout the challenges of life. One of the last songs she quoted, was one her mother sang to her as a child: ‘There is a Bright Side Somewhere.” I am ready when God’s call me.
TEE as she was often called, graduated from Coolidge High School in Washington, DC. Shortly after graduation TEE began her career at Catholic University of America where she faithfully worked for 41+ years. TEE was a dedicated and committed employee, who loved the people she worked with, and loved coming to work. After TEE could no longer travel to work, she continued to stay in touch with her co-workers and supervisors, and they kept in touch with her.
TYWANNA enjoyed cooking and sharing her delightful cuisine with others. Shopping and decorating her home brought her great joy. However, nothing gave her more pleasure than her time spent with her grandchildren.
