

He attended DC Public Schools. He had several jobs, Youth Teen Club, George Washington Hospital, St. Elizabeth and security.
He was a likable guy. He made friends everywhere he went. He had a special bond for and with children. As a kid growing up, he had a passion for drawing, singing and playing guitar. He was very good at playing ping pong. Basketball, football and pool. It was a great pleasure for him to attend family gatherings, which brought so much joy to his heart.
In 1972 he joined the USMC to serve his country. During his time there, he earned several medals for honorable conditions, rifle sharpshooter – M16, good conduct and national defense service.
He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond S. and Sara E. Ford, four brothers, Leo, James, Gerald and Sterling Ford, two nieces, Sharon Barkley and Ina Gilbert, and one nephew, Lionel Miller.
He leaves to cherish memories, two step-daughters, one step-son, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, four sisters, two brothers, one brother-in-law, one sister-in-law, one uncle, three aunts, and over one hundred nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
