Willie Elzie Swangin

On July 18, 2022, our Lord and Savior called our father Willie (Swang) E. Swangin home. He was born on June 26, 1934 in Washington, D.C. to the late John and Katie Swangin, he was the youngest of seven children.

Willie received his education in D.C. Public School System. During his wonderful time on this earth, he was one of the coolest / sharpest dressing man we know. He loved his work just as much as he loved his family and extended family. When he was not at work or with family, you could find him watching great movies, dvds, bowling or chilling with his dogs. Even when he began to get ill, he remained positive, outspoken, love to eat and to see his family. God called him home and there was nothing we could do. Until we see each other again, rest easy, see you soon and you’re forever in our hearts.

Proceeding his death are his parents John and Katie Swangin, three sisters; Thelma Swangin, Elizabeth Swangin -Russell, Hattie Julian, Geneva Hawks; one brother Charles Swangin and a wonderful grandson Robert Glasco Jr.

He leaves behind two children son Robert Glasco Sr., daughter Venice Glasco (special step kids Ella, Lizette and Chuck) and grandchildren Brandie, Ashton and one sibling Flora Webster (Harold) as well as host of wonderful nephews and nieces. Many other family and dear friends.
