Celeste was born February 21, 1947 in Taft, California to Wayne A. Sr. and Alice J. (Bryant) Walker. The family moved to Fresno, California and Celeste graduated from McLane High School and attended Fresno State College. She worked as an orthodontist assistant for one year until her marriage to Robert Rodgers on January 7, 1967 at the Free Methodist Church in Fresno, whom she met while he was stationed on a naval air base near Fresno, CA.

The couple moved to Bridgeport to live on a farm and ranch where they raised their children. Celeste worked alongside her husband helping on the farm and ranch all of her life.

She was a member of an Extension Club for several years, and the New Life Assembly of God Church in Bridgeport where she helped to coordinate the Missionettes Program and kids church. She enjoyed crafts, home, being outdoors with her husband and family and especially if it was with the horses or teams. Some of the greatest joys of her life were her grandchildren and her animals.

She was a Christian from early childhood and was water baptized with her son John and was baptized in the spirit in 1981 at New Life Assembly of God Church.

Celeste is survived by her husband Robert of Bridgeport; children: Michael Rodgers and John Rodgers both of Bridgeport and daughter Jodie (Clint) Holthus of Oshkosh; grandchildren: Allyssa Rodgers, Jessica (Amos) Torres, Brooke (Ryan) Phillips, Kinsley Cornelison, niece’s sons who were like grandsons to her Aaron and AJ Luce, Korban Waid, Zane Miller, Colton Holthus, Riley Holthus, and Nicole (Jacob) White; great-grandchildren: Bentley and Lilly Hecht, Wade and Wesley Phillips, BellaRose and Maximo Torres, Dallan and Layla Blake, Kyler, Braelynn, and Nina White; brother and sister-in-law Wayne, Jr and Sue Walker of Squaw Valley, CA; aunt who was like a sister to her: Irene McCostlin of Florence, MT and her daughter who was more like a niece than a cousin, Kimberly Hooper; nieces Sandra (Dennis) Widener of North Platte, NE who was like a daughter to her and Jasmine Maroon of Squaw Valley, CA; and lifelong friend Barbara (Ed) Ramos.
