Charlotte M. Franklin

Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Bridgeport with Pastor Darren Stroh officiating. Interment will follow at the Oregon Trail Memorial Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Bridgeport Memorial Chapel.

Charlotte was born March 28, 1916 at Burwell, Nebraska to Claude and Anna (Pletcher) Smith.  She married Glen Franklin on October 5, 1935 in Gering, Nebraska. She loved cooking, exercise, playing cards and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She belonged to the Happy Hour Extension Club for many years. She was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church.

Charlotte is survived by her three children, Gary and wife Bonnie of Bridgeport, Larry and wife Carol of Torrington and Jana Lou and husband Fred of Kearney, NE; six grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Glen, one sister and four brothers.
