Cheryl Lee Johnston

Her memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Community Bible Church in Bayard with Pastor Brad Kihlthau officiating.    

Cheryl was born on  September 11, 1982 at Scottsbluff, NE. to Herbert Lee and Lori Lee (Meyer) Johnston.  She received her early education in Morrill, Torrington and Minatare Schools.  She graduated from 8th grade from Highland School and graduated from Bayard High School.  She recently became and Certified Nurses Aide and was currently employed at Chimney Rock Villa.

The pride of her life was her son, Tristian.  She loved spending time with family, friends and neighbors.  She enjoyed riding horses, playing in the park with Tristian, climbing Bigfoot and Chimney Rock.  Cheryl smile was infectious and she always left you with a hug, a smile and “I love you.”

Survivors include her son, Tristian; parents, Herb and Lori Johnston all of Bayard; her brother “Bobo”, Dusty Johnston of Scottsbluff; several aunts and uncles and cousins; great grandmothers: Jane Emery of Gering,  “Granny” Worrell  of Torrington and Nadynne Schaaf of Scottsbluff.    Also the ones she called “heroes” and you know who you are!

She was  preceded in death by her grandparents, Chuck and Jan Meyer and Linda Keumpell and  great grandfathers, “Gramps” Worrell and Bud Emery.
