She was born January 14, 1958 in Fort Campbell, Kentucky to James Downing and Linda Leftwich. She married Paul Carter in 2016, and loved being a homemaker and farm girl in Nebraska.
She loved hiking, museums, traveling to learn about history, and anything with her kids. She was always very kind and helpful to anyone around her, and most of all loved the Lord.
Surviving family members include son Ricky, daughter Christa, son Erick, daughter Breanna, son-in-law Trevor, daughter-in-law Carmen, brother David, sister Judy, mother Linda, father James, grandchildren Cody, Brian, Caleb, Courtney, Nathan, Naomi and Olivia. She was preceded in death by brother Jimmy and husband Paul.
Services will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Church of Christ in Bridgeport with Pastor Jonathan Seng officiating. Interment will follow at Oregon Trail Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour prior to service on Wednesday at the church. Fond memories and condolences may be left at www.bridgeportmemorialchapel.com for the family.
