

Mary Ann Stuart, 73, of rural Bayard, died Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Skyview At Bridgeport. Her funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at the Church of Christ in Bayard with Pastor Bill Ferrero and Pastor Jonathan Seng officiating. Interment will follow at Oregon Trail Memorial Cemetery at Bridgeport. Visitation will be held from 4 -7 PM on Monday, May 29, 2017 at Bridgeport Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Festival of Hope, Friends of Antelope Valley Historical Church, or the Donor’s Choice. Mary was born December 9, 1943 to Milton and Melanie (Bahns) White at Oshkosh, Nebraska where she received her education. She was united in marriage to Bill Ray Stuart on August 26, 1961 at the Methodist Church in Oshkosh. The couple made their home and raised their family on the farm/feedlot operation, Stuart Land and Cattle, north and east of Bayard. After Bill’s death in 1991, Mary continued the farm/feedlot operation alongside her family.
Mary was a 50 plus year member of the Red Willow Club. She loved spending time with her family, especially attending the grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s activities. She was their biggest supporter. Mary loved to travel with friends and family in the United States as well as in several foreign countries. She was a kind, loving, giving person who never knew a stranger. She enjoyed gardening, collecting angels and will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
Mary is survived by her children Brenda Billingsley of Scottsbluff, Kevin and Robin Stuart and Barry and Donna Stuart all of Bayard, and Jenny Stuart of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren Ashley Moore (Brandon Van Horn), Lesley Billingsley, Brittany (Drew) Blessing, Amber Stuart (James Mendoza), Tyler Stuart (Christina Dietz), Derek (Bobbie) Stuart, Brandon (Terri) Stuart, Megan Stuart, and Kylie Stuart; great-grandchildren Katelynn and Kaden Moore, Camryn Mendoza, Hayden and Landon Stuart, and Jason, Brooklyn, and Logan Stuart; siblings Rich and Corky White of Bridgeport, June and Dale Waltman and Donald “Duck” and Verna White all of Oshkosh, Jim and Judy White and Larry “Buzz” and Silvia White all of Lincoln, and Bonnie Jean Franklin of Bridgeport; brother-in-law Terry Muhr of Gering; sisters-in-law Carol (Mark) Swires, Ardis Stuart, and Irene Stuart all of Bridgeport and Mary Lou White of Oshkosh; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members including Vicki, Darin, Logan, and Samantha Anderson.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Bill, parents Milton and Melanie White; step-mother Esther White, son-in-law Jim Billingsley, and brother Bob White.
