Patricia S Gonzales passed away Sept. 19th, 2016 at her home with her daughters by her side. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 21, 2016 and 2:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Friday, September 22, 2016 at Bridgeport Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held at Cornerstone Fellowship Church at Bayard, Nebraska at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Alvin Koski officiating and Pastor Peter Martinez assisting. Donations can be made to the family for a memorial decided at a later date.

She got the desire of heart to be in the arms of her heavenly father. She was born in 1927 in Coleman, Texas to Espiridian and Trinadad Sabala. She grew up with 5 sisters and 3 brothers. In Morton, Texas she met the love of her life, Julius Gonzalez. They were united in married in 1947. From this loving union came 7 daughters and 3 sons.

Her hobbies included sewing, cooking for her family and guests, gardening, and talking long hours on the phone with her daughters. She loved her large family, which included 22 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great-grandchildren.

She was survived by her children Leonora (Jose) Marquez of Bayard, Julius (Fran) Gonzales of Chadron, Saturnino Ernesto (Liza) Gonzalez of Bayard, Sam (Gloria) Gonzalez of Bayard, Mary Lou (Peter) Martinez of Bayard, Hilda (Joe) Jones of Omaha, Geneva (Mark) Elliott of Littleton, CO, Elvira (Angel) Padilla of Bayard, Angel (Jim) Cole of Falls City, NE.

She was preceded in death by her husband Julius, daughter Andrea Cuellar, and great-granddaughters Morgan Belle Gibbons and Abijah Smith.
