Rod recently retired from Cash Wa Distributing as a service technician. He loved cars, working on the land, enjoyed many family gatherings target practicing, and spending time with the kids, grandchildren, and other family members. He had a love of the land, spending time fixing fence, and was thrilled when he bought the farm north of Bridgeport in 2007 which he named Owihanke – “the end of the road” – which is where he spent his last days.
Rod was always a great influence on Kurt and Travis who he considered to be his children. He also gave the gift of life by being an organ donor.
