He was born February 24, 1961 in North Platte, Nebraska, to Lowell Fredrick and Roxana Janet (Imel) Wheeler. He received his early education in the Jefferson County Public Schools, graduating from Pomona High School. He attended Adams State University.
Survivors include his brothers, Daryn and Kermit "Kim" (Linda) Wheeler, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Zachariah "Zach" Wheeler; parents, Lowell Wheeler and Roxana Santorno; and brother, Gene Wheeler.
