Although, I've not seen her in 31 years, I remember she was a good woman

I was lucky enough to marry Eva, one of Mary's four children. Mary (a mom to me) was the greatest mother in law one could dream of. The first things I noticed were her warm accepting eyes, her sudden screaming laugh. She was so kind and so engaged in what you were saying. She was profoundly wise...so nurturing, so sweet and so gentle. She was the greatest listener I've even known. The perfect mother and grandmother. You want to talk cooking?? I will still see her every single day in Eva and in Mia, my daughter. She will live on in all of those who were lucky enough to have known her, while continuing to enrich our lives with her memories. And I, for one, will always be aware of how fortunate I am to have had her in my life. Love you Mom!

My MOM loved your Mom for over 50 years.  She was a true friend and companion to my Mom.  In my life Maria was was friend who was very caring and loving.

It is amazing how Mary has engulfed my life and I will continue to carry on her legacy to my kids.

I only met Mary a few years back, her smile and her warmth are what I remember most. Her greatest gift to  me is found in the friendship of her son Carl and the perpetual warmth of her beautiful daughters. My wish for this wonderful family is that they live out her legacy with rich lives and full hearts.

I never met your mom but she made me laugh.  Through you Carl, I have heard about her, laughed about her, cried about her and felt her love. I want to extend my deepest condolences to you and your sisters.  May your mom's memory be a blessing.

Mary was my mom. She was a gentle, kind person whose quiet, shy nature belied incredible strength and fortitude. She was an angel of a mother and grandmother and I am so grateful to have had so many years with her to talk to, share good and hard times with and to learn from her quiet wisdom and good and forgiving nature. She is forever in my heart.

 Mary's life was a prayer & her kitchen table was an altar of love.
I am so blessed to have been seated at that kitchen table since I was 11.  I will always remember her smiling brown eyes, her understanding heart, her warm Italian Mama hugs, her sense of wonderment, her devotion to her children, Rosette, Eva, Carl & Maria, and her immense pride in her grandchildren, Sophia, Mia and Monte. Mary will live on forever in the hearts of all of us who loved her. Thank you Mary for blessing my life !

God has taken this beautiful woman home to forever rest in peace, of that I am certain.  I met her when I was a young girl, she was Rosette's mom, a nice lady. Over the years I fell in love with Mary, this kind, generous, warm, loving, smart, funny, accepting, interesting and interested woman. She had way of welcoming me into her life and home, always making me feel so special. The years have blurred the lines, and friend doesn't seem adequate to define her place in my heart. But she is forever etched there. I see some of her in each of her children, and so she lives on. My deepest sympathy to the Capotorto family.

Mary's beauty, clever humor, constancy, sensibility, thoughtfulness and tireless attention to her family and their friends are stitched into the quilt of my first childhood memories. Though the threads of our lives took us in very different directions, when we found each other again the continuity seemed seamless. She shared with my own mother the extraordinary talent for finding your wave length and riding it right along with you. I embrace my second family--Rosette, Eva, Carl and Maria and your families and loved ones in this moment of remembered joys and present sorrows...
