Audrey Marion Kegel, Seegers, Stein, age 97, peacefully entered her eternal rest on Sept 17, 2026, while being lovingly cared for by family. She is survived by her brother, Roger Kegel, six children; Susan Hartfiel (Bill), Michael Seegers (Judy), James Seegers (Sharon), Kathleen Richards (Rick), William Seegers, and Lynette Seegers (Catherine); nine grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
Born into an era that required real backbone, Audrey survived the Great Depression and WWII, which permanently cemented her core philosophies on life: family, grit, simplicity, gratitude, and a can-do approach. She was, without a doubt, the toughest woman anyone had ever met. Even with a spine fused at both the top and bottom, Audrey defied the odds and began most days by walking and exercising well into her nineties. She firmly believed there was nothing you were "too good" to do and was always willing to help anyone in need.
Audrey fiercely loved Wisconsin for its seasons, lakes and parks. She lived for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a good Friday night fish fry, puzzles, bingo, and a bowl of ice cream. She was also highly accomplished at sewing and crafts, creating the absolute best Halloween costumes and holiday decorations for her family throughout the years.
Audrey often put others before herself, living a simple humble life that left a massive mark on those who knew her. She leaves behind a sprawling legacy of people who loved her dearly and she will be deeply missed. Now she is at peace and finally getting some well deserved rest as she reunites with her parents Alfred and Norma Kegel and her four brothers; Howard, Bob, Al and Ronnie.
