After graduating from Washington High School, Bobbie attended Marquette University in the Radiology Program. Bobbie joined the United States Army, serving both active and reserve for a total of thirteen years. Bobbie eventually relocated to Louisville, Kentucky.
Bobbie took pride in working in a variety of fields; including DHL, with most of his employment with Louisville Metro Government in Parks and Solid Waste, retiring after 21 years of service.
Bobbie us preceded in death by his mother Cenettie Johnson and two sisters, Jeanette Matthews and Cassandra Shaw.
Bobbie is survived by one son: Bobby Johnson Jr.; and one sister, Deborah Johnson, two nieces: Dionne Grayson (Vern) and Stephanie Shaw; Three nephews: Andre Matthews, Larnell Matthews, Ricky Shaw, Jr.; and a host of family and friends.
