Carl Whitney, 63, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2026. Born in Waukesha, Wisconsin, on August 23, 1962, to Carl Sr. and Maxine. Carl loved talking sports, complimenting others, and had a remarkable ability to remember everyone’s name. He enjoyed word searches, crossword puzzles, shooting pool, going to church, and cherished sharing memories with his favorite phrase, “Remember that time…?”
Greeted in Heaven by his father, Carl Sr., and stepbrother, Eric “Rick” Peterson.
He is survived by his mother, Maxine (Marty) Gerken; his siblings, Cathy (Mike) Haas, Mary (Stewart) LaPointe, Amy (Todd) Cowell, Jeni (Glen) Pavlovich, and Sarah (Eric) Susek; and his beloved nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
Carl’s warmth, kindness, and sense of humor will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
When asked what he wanted his family to remember about him, Carl simply said, “I want them to know I love them.”
“Yuuuppp! I’m with Jesus.”

A memorial service for Carl will be held in the Brookfield Lutheran Church Sanctuary on Monday, July 27th. Visitation starts at 12:30 p.m. followed by a church service at 1:30 p.m. Brookfield Lutheran Church 18500 West Burleigh Road Brookfield, WI 53045
Inurnment will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
