

Donald Scott Scheibel (58) of McKinney Texas, and formerly Grafton Wisconsin, Passed away on December 14th, 2025, after a 6-month battle with cancer at the home of Jeffrey and Susan Scheibel in The Villages of Florida. He passed peacefully holding the hands of Jeff and Sue, and is now celebrating eternal life with his mother, father, and twin brother Daniel.
Donald was born along with his twin brother Daniel, on January 3rd, 1967, in Grafton WI to parents Wesley and Geraldine (Dorsch) Scheibel. He was the youngest child (by mere minutes) in a family of 7 boys.
Don spent the first 15 years of his life living in Grafton, WI. In Grafton, he attended elementary school, middle school, and his freshman year at Grafton High School where he was a proud member of the Grafton Blackhawks swimming and diving team.
In 1982 Dad, Mom, Don, and Dan relocated to Arlington, Texas, where he resided for the next 43 years before his passing. While in Texas Don attended Martin High School in Arlington, graduating in May of 1985. After high school, Don attended the University of Texas – Arlington and graduated in 1989 with a degree in Business Administration, majoring in Finance.
After graduation, Don spent the next 36 years in the consumer finance and credit divisions with Toyota motor credit, Capital One and for the last 15 years with Hyundai, most recently as Senior Manager Consumer Credit. Don was a conscientious dedicated employee who excelled in his job and truly enjoyed what he was doing as well as the people he was working with.
Don is survived by Brothers Wesley (Kathy) Scheibel, Stephen Scheibel, John (Mary) Scheibel, Christopher (Susan) Scheibel, and Jeffrey (Susan) Scheibel as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, their spouses, and families. Also survived by numerous friends and coworkers.
Donald was preceded in death by his Father Wesley Scheibel, Mother Geraldine Scheibel, twin brother Daniel Gene Scheibel and sister-in-law Laurie Scheibel. Also preceded in death by his Grandparents and numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
Donald was a kind, compassionate, and generous brother. He possessed an unrivaled sense of humor, and his smile was infectious which was bound to cheer up anyone around him. Don cherished not only his family but his many friends as well. He would never hesitate to help anyone in need and developed lifelong friendships with not only his work family, but also those in his extended social circle. He was an avid Texas Rangers baseball fan and was a dedicated season ticket holder who for many years cheered on his team. He made many lifelong friends among those fans seated around him in section 210 of Globe Life Field.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Texas Oncology – Mckinney, TX, as well as the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa Florida. We are forever grateful for your care and compassion while treating Donald.
A Celebration of Life for Donald is scheduled for Saturday April 11, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Wisconsin Memorial Park 13235 W Capitol Dr, Brookfield WI. Family and friends may gather in the Great Memorial Building – “Chapel of the Chimes” for visitation at 11:00 a.m. until time of memorial service at 12:00 p.m. A reception will follow the memorial service in the Family Center located on the Wisconsin Memorial Park grounds.
