Elizabeth Kuczkowski died on February 9, 2011, with family members by her side. She was 79 years old. Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Jim “Brutus” Kuczkowski and two of her 7 children, Jimmy and Kathy, both of whom died before the age of 4. She is survived by her children and their families: Mary Beth (Kuczkowski) and Craig Kreml and children Erin and Mark; John Kuczkowski and Mary Alice Forester and children Adam Kuczkowski (wife, Kelly), Amy Kuczkowski Parins (husband, Lynn); Joe and Cindy Kuczkowski, daughter Kaytie and grand-daughter Ruby; Dan and Beth Kuczkowski and children Patrick, Annie, Julia and Laura; Suzanne (Kuczkowski) and Jack Deichl and children Jack Lukas and Becky. She is also survived by her brother, Jim Booz and his wife, Mary.
Elizabeth took great pride in being a good wife and mother, and she commented more than once that one of her accomplishments had been to turn 5 “squirrely kids” into a semblance of humanity. She was a Master Gardener, a talented quilter, writer and painter. She was a real life-force and has left a legacy of compassion and humor living on in her children, grand-children and great grandchild. She couldn’t understand why people talked about heaven being such a great place – but didn’t want to go there. Elizabeth was at peace with her stage in life and was really looking forward to being with her husband and two young children again. We know that they are finally reunited!
A memorial service will be held soon; and a celebration of Elizabeth’s life will be held in the summer, on or near what would have been her 80th birthday.
Visitation at 12 noon, Sunday, February 20, Deer Creek Village Senior Living; Memorial Mass at 12:30 at Deer Creek Village; 3601 S. 147th Street, New Berlin, WI 53151. For additional information, please contact Elizabeth's daughter, Mary Beth Kreml at [email protected].
