Jacqueline (Jackie) was born on December 24,1930, to the union of Thomas and Ethel Jones. She was the older of two children born to this union—her brother, Thomas Henry Jones, Jr., was their second child. They were a happy family, and Jacqueline was happy to have a brother. Jackie received her education through the Chicago Public School System.
A Time to Love
At an early age, she married Nathan Campbell. To this union, two sons were born—Nathan and LeVon Campbell. Later in life, she met the love of her adult life, Jack Holloway, Jr. They were married for 48 years. It was a wonderful and happy union. Upon first meeting Jackie, Jack indicated that he would marry her. Jack is reunited with his wife in Heaven. Jack made his transition in 2015.
A Time to Serve God
Jackie and her family were longtime members of Hermon Baptist Church where she was baptized, sang, and her family remained members at Hermon until 1971. At that time, she and her family moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and united with Gospel Lutheran Church. Jackie and Jack were active members where they remained for over 42 years. Later, Jackie and Jack moved their membership to St.Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church under the pastorate of Reverend David Pappe.
Time to Work and Play
Jackie retired from EZ Painters after 34 years of service as a Production Supervisor. Jackie and Jack discovered a love for traveling and purchased an RV van that took them to more than 40 states. It is said by several family members that Jack did not like to fly. Needless to say, their travels were many and enjoyable.
A Time to Say Goodbye
Before she departed this life, Jackie touched many hearts and leaves us mourning her loss in many ways. Yet, the greatest blessing is that we were privileged to know her as an intelligent and caring mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, cousin, and friend. If we keep that in mind, then we have not truly lost her, for we know she is waiting for us in our heavenly home. She leaves to cherish her memory and mourn her passing: her sons, Nathaniel and
LeVon; her daughter-in-law, Maggie, who preceded her in death and now welcomes her in heaven; her grandson, Nathaniel, whom she and Jack raised; her three stepchildren, Jack Jr., Jackie, and Cynthia; her grandchildren, Kenny, Octavia, Stacey, Stephanie, and Darrick; her grandson, Erick, who preceded her in death and now welcomes her in heaven; her nieces, Renee and Kimberly; and a host of great-grandchildren, relatives, and friends. Jackie’s greatest blessing was seeing 5 generations of Jones, Holloway and Campbell families.
