Jerome Noel Foshey “Jerry”
March 7, 1935 – October 28, 2026
With heavy hearts we sadly announce the peaceful passing of Jerry with his beloved wife at his side.
Born to Noel and Theresa Foshey. He was the eldest of 5 sons. Survived by 2 brothers, Charlie (Jean) Foshey & Richard (Cheryl) Foshey. Preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Kenneth Foshey & Donald “Jingles” Foshey. He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Jerry was happily married to the “Love of his Life”, Arlene, for 69 wonderful years. Theirs was an unwavering bond of love that was apparent until the day he died. This is a testament to what a loving, dedicated man he truly was. They resided in Menomonee Falls for 66 years where they raised 3 children, Jean (Randy) Finco, Terry (Dale) Gallmann, and Bob (Linda) Foshey. He had 8 grandchildren, AJ, Jonathan, Jessica, Nicole, Erik, Ryan, Robert, and Jenni and 13 great grandchildren.
Jerry was an amazing man with diverse interests and talents. At age 17 he enlisted in the Marines, serving 3 years in Korea & Hawaii. Upon discharge he returned to his job at Harley Davidison. During his 43 year tenure, Jerry worked as a mechanic in the Racing Dept. travelling to many racetracks throughout the country with “The Wrecking Crew” team. He especially enjoyed his time at Daytona where he returned many times to vacation with his family. Later in his career, he worked in the Experimental Dept on new engine designs until he retired in 1996 at the age of 60. He was a talented mechanic who could fix just about anything. He spent many years working on cars and bikes on the side in his garage. Jerry was an avid Harley rider who was often on his bike from his early teens until he was nearly 80 years old.
During retirement, Jerry was able to spend more time creating countless heirloom wood keepsakes that were given to his family as gifts. His woodworking room became his favorite “man cave” where he could be found designing another new project. Besides woodworking, Jerry “thoroughly enjoyed”, at Arlene’s direction, spending countless hours working in “the Back Acre”. Their yard was a showpiece with even a custom irrigation watering system that he designed for all of Arlene’s flowers. When he wasn’t busy in the yard or in his woodworking shop, he enjoyed watching “his team”, the Green Bay Packers. Jerry had so many stories that he loved to talk about but he especially loved to talk about his experience participating on a Honor Flight in 2017.
No words could possibly describe who Jerry was. He was the kindest and most patient person who always had a smile on his face. He was a caring thoughtful man who never hesitated to lend a helping hand to his family or friends. Jerry always had a positive outlook on life and a great sense of humor but above all his many wonderful traits, he had an unwaveringly love for his wife and family and will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6 at Wisconsin Memorial Park Chapel of the Chimes, 13235 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfield, from 1:00 PM until time of Funeral Service at 2:30 PM. Entombment and military honors to follow. Please join us for dinner to continue sharing memories about our wonderful dad.
In honor of Jerry, donations can be made to Honor Flight for other veterans so they too can enjoy this incredible experience.
Harley Davidson attire would certainly be appropriate to honor Jerry.
