

Today we celebrate the life of Mr. Jessie Ernest Riley Jr., born January 1, 1955 in Milwaukee WI to the union of Jessie E. Riley Sr. and Cleola Stewart-Riley. He peacefully drifted away from us on Thursday, May 18th, 2023. He grew up in the faith at Friendship Baptist Church where he faithfully attended with his family.
He attended Milwaukee Public Schools, graduating from West Division High School. Jessie enlisted in the Armed Services in June of 1974 and served Honorably in the United States Army.
After returning home, Jessie was employed with Quad Graphics and also worked alongside his dad in the family business, Armor Packing House and 12th Street Liquor Inc.
Jessie’s most favorite pastime activities were making everyone laugh, he was the best storyteller in the family. He loved listening to music, fishing and spending time in Mississippi with his beloved cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, wife Rose brother Carl Riley, and sister Erica Riley.
Jessie was a loving, protective brother and a caring father. He leaves to cherish his memory, his children: Shanice of Phoenix, AZ, Marcus Riley of Appleton, WI, Susella (Clayton) Moesch, Alexis Fields and Brian Fields all of Milwaukee, WI; Sisters: Joyce Riley-Young, Sandra Riley, Alice (Terrance) Pugh, Joanie (Frank) Green, Penny Stewart; Karen Johnson, Latonya Johnson, Jessica Riley; Sister-in-law Sandra Landry-Riley; Brothers: Hal (Rhonda) Riley, Patrick(Quisha) Johnson, Keiba Johnson, Shawn Riley; special friend, Addria Fields; grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
