Michelle Rotgers

Michelle Ann Rotgers of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, passed away after a battle with cancer on April 7th, 2026, at the age of 63. She will be lovingly remembered by the love of her life David Rotgers; children Brian (Erika), Stephanie (Jonah), and Jennifer (Ben); mother Sally Klingman; siblings Melody Neuroth and Mike Neuroth along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Charles Neuroth and her sister Marlene Koellner. She will be missed.

Michelle was born in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, later moved to Wauwatosa and graduated from Wauwatosa West High School. After having children, she became a stay-at-home mom and loved every second of it. Once Brian graduated, Michelle went back to work at the VA where she would later retire.

Michelle loved the color yellow, flowers, laughter, and being surrounded by family. She found joy in a house full of friends and family, even through the kids teenage years, opening her doors to all. She tried to be as involved as she could in her kids lives, from being a room parent, to attending sporting events, to concerts and recitals; she never missed one. That devotion continued as the kids got older when she would travel across the state to see Brian, or the city to see Stephanie and Jennifer at home or work. Michelle heartily believed in the healing ways of retail therapy. She loved to find and present unexpected gifts for those around her.

In addition to surrounding herself with family, Michelle found another great support system with her AA community, being a member for 40 years. She always found love, laughter, and support from AA.

Michelle loved to be involved and included, and valued all of the relationships that she sustained over the years. In her final months, she was very touched by and grateful for all of the gifts, love, kind words, and appreciated all of those who reached out to check in.

A service will be held at Wisconsin Memorial Park (13235 W. Capitol Drive; Brookfield, Wisconsin) on Saturday, May 30th. Visitation will be from 9am-11am, service to start at 11am. In true Michelle fashion, the family will be holding a lunch at their home in Wauwatosa, beginning at 1pm
