Patricia Ann Chesnic

September 1, 1953 – August 10, 2026
Obituary of Patricia Ann Chesnic
IN THE CARE OF

Wisconsin Memorial Park Inc.

“Patricia Ann Chesnic (née Matulis), aged 72, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2026, in Sussex, Wisconsin.

Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Patricia spent her early years in the city before relocating to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in her later teenage years. It was there that she met James Chesnic, fell in love, and built a family. Together they raised four children, who remained the central focus and absolute joy of her life.

Patricia was truly a one-in-a-million soul; intense in her love, deeply sensitive, and fiercely resilient. She navigated life with a rare, complex spirit, quietly fighting through the heavy burdens and storms of mental illness that often made her world feel overwhelming. Though her path was marked by profound highs and difficult valleys, her heart remained overwhelmingly open.

Through every challenge, her priority never wavered: she put her children first, selflessly supporting their dreams and pouring everything she had into their well-being. She held a simple, beautiful appreciation for life's fundamental moments, often sharing that her greatest daily joy was simply waking up to see the sun shine on a new day.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Leonard and Barbara Matulis; her brother, John Matulis; and her former husband, James Chesnic.

Patricia leaves behind a legacy of selfless devotion, fierce resilience, and enduring love. She is survived by her four children, Jodi Weiss, Lynde Hammer, Christopher Chesnic, and Heather Rodriguez; her precious newborn grandson, Judah Rodriguez, born in January 2026; her sister, Lori Noble; her niece, Jesse Noble; and her brother, Michael Matulis.

A memorial service celebrating Patricia's life will be held on September 25, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers or charitable donations, those wishing to honor her memory are invited to simply keep Patricia and her family in their thoughts and say a prayer for her eternal peace.”
