Rita entered into Heaven on August 12, 2023. It was Rita's goal in life to have people commit to
Christ and go to heaven. She loved kids and dogs and had great sympathy for the underdog. Rita was loving, passionate, playfully sassy, and a protector.
She loved her work as a Respiratory Therapist where she helped many people over the years. Rita loved to write books about dogs.
Her nephews, nieces, and grand nephews and nieces were her pride. Rita took great joy in her youngest great niece's giggle and played those recordings whenever she needed a smile. Rita greatly enjoyed conversations with her youngest great-nephew, and her neighbor's son was precious to her.
One of the last things that she wrote was "You may miss me but let me go." Rita will be dearly missed in this life by those who knew and loved her, yet we all rejoice to one day see her again in heaven.
A prayer that was said at her bedside in the hospital by the chaplain was from James. A few days later after she passed I found that listed in her composition notebook under "Verses of Hope and Wisdom
Rita is survived by sister Rose and brother Roy and other family members and friends. Those that preceded her was her Dad, Royal , Mom, Evelyn and brother Eric.
A private Celebration of Life will be held on September 24th from 11:00AM - 1:00PM for family and close friends. More details to come.
