Thomas was born to Allen and Alice Moran in Beloit, Wisconsin December 8, 1937. He was 88 years old.
After graduation from Beloit Memorial High School in 1955, he enlisted in the Army for three years. He spent most of that time in Germany with the 176th Signal Company.
After his honorable discharge in July 1958, Tom returned home to Beloit to the home of his brother Robert who had raised him after his parents died when he was young. It was here he met Joan Wait of Milwaukee. By October 1958, Tom also moved to Milwaukee. In 1960, Tom and Joan were married at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Milwaukee.
Wanting his own home, they built a house in Port Washington in 1963, where their two children, Nancy and Steven, were born and raised.
Tom worked for Simplicity Mfg. Co. in Port for over 34 years.
Tom enjoyed his home, being home!, and being involved in his church. He also was a sports fan especially for the Milwaukee Braves and then the Milwaukee Brewers. Tom was known as "Lucky Tom" by his relatives because of his skill at playing cards, especially the game of Euchre.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Joan, daughter Nancy (James) Albert, son Steven, and two much loved grandsons Eric and Andrew Albert, nieces, and nephews.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Evelyn Russell, Robert Moran and his wife Joyce, Charles Moran and his wife Mary.
