April 11, 1937 – July 3, 2018
SEIDMAN, Aaron, of Brookline entered into rest July 3, 2018. Beloved husband of Ruth (Kertzer) Seidman. Devoted father of Daniel Isaac and Joshua Jacob. Loving brother of Sara Levine, Abraham Neil Seidman and the late Esther Rome. Cherished grandfather of Edward (“Teddy”), Benjamin, Leo, Ryan and Julia Seidman.
Aside from his devotion to his family, Aaron's greatest passion was art. He created his works in a wide variety of media, constantly experimenting with new techniques. In his own words, he "learned from the masters that good art can show one's sense of humor". His other interests were varied -- a taste of any subject would trigger a thirst for knowledge about it. He also devoted his time to many causes, most recently Shir Hadash Reconstructionist Havurah in Newton and BrooklineCAN -- the Brookline Community Aging Network.
Funeral services will be held at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 1668 Beacon St., BROOKLINE on Friday, July 6 at 11:30 am. Interment to follow at the Crawford St. Cemetery, 776 Baker St., West Roxbury.
Memorial observance at his late residence immediately following interment until sundown and continuing Saturday from 7-10 pm and Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Brookline Senior Center, 93 Winchester St., Brookline, MA 02445 (www.brooklineseniorcenter.org) or to Mazon: A Jewish Response to Hunger, PO Box 96119, Washington, DC 20090 (www.mazon.org).
