
Allan A. Stone, age 90, of Milton MA, died peacefully on Thursday, March 5, 2015 surrounded by family. He was the son of the late Dr. Aaron H. and Ida Stone of Roxbury and brother to the late Raymond Stone. He was the beloved husband of the late Sara (Butler) Stone and leaves behind daughter Linda Stone of Cambridge, daughter Susan Clinton and husband Kevin of Newton, son Sam Stone and wife Jennifer of Norfolk, and son David Stone and wife Lauren of North Andover. Mr. Stone also leaves behind sister-in-law Norma (Butler) Feldberg and grandchildren Lisa (Clinton) Clark, Daniel Clinton, Rachel Stone, and Joshua Stone and great-grandsons Lincoln and Camden Clark and Asher Clinton. Mr. Stone was a graduate of Roxbury Boys High School and Tufts University. He served in the US Navy in the Pacific theater from 1942-1945 as a radio operator on the USS Tappahannock (AO-43) and the USS Execute (AM-232). Following a career as an account executive for Baily’s and B&D Wallpaper in Brookline, he had a long career with the US Postal Service at the South Station Postal Annex. Mr. Stone was a childhood member of the Hecht House Boys Club in Boston and maintained lifelong friendships with several members of the club. Services at the Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard Street, Brookline on Monday, March 9 at 11:00am followed by burial at Meretz Cemetery, 19 Washington Street, Woburn. Memorial observance on Monday from 5-8pm continuing on Tuesday from 6-9pm at the home of Sam & Jennifer Stone. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
