Anita C. (Cohn) Newman, of Falmouth, formerly of Brookline on Friday, December 9, 2011. She was the beloved wife of the late Nathan J. Newman. Devoted mother of Gail Newman & her husband Jules Rosenberg, Suzanne Alexander and Harriet Lavin & her husband Bernard. Loving grandmother of Skye, Thea, Shaina, Kim and Adam. Dear sister of the late May C. Poorvu. Graduate of Wellesley College. She was a Purchaser of textbooks for Wellesley College and Hathaway House. Services will be held at the Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard St., Brookline on Tuesday, December 13 at 12noon.
Interment at Temple Israel Cemetery, Wakefield. Memorial observance at the home of Gail Newman and Jules Rosenberg on Wednesday and Thursday from 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
