Barbara L. (Goldenberg) Davis, of Brookline, died peacefully at home on Friday, August 13. Daughter of the late Leon & Adrea Goldenberg, beloved wife of 40 years to husband, Stan Davis, cherished mother of Michael Braverman, Lisa (Braverman) Predella, Hilary (Braverman) Rochelle, stepmother to Richard Davis and Leonard Davis, and grandmother to Adam, Alex, Sam, Katie, Ben, Corey, Jack, Abby, Dani, and Zuli.
“Bobbi” as she was known to most and “Baboo” to her grandchildren, was born in Cambridge in 1937, attended the Rhode Island School of design and spent her long and successful career as a brilliant interior architect and designer. Talented, creative and an incredible cook, Bobbi spent her life sharing these gifts with others. She was known most for her boundless love for family and friends and unlimited capacity to give back and care for those who needed her.
A long-time breast cancer survivor herself, Bobbi devoted many years of her life supporting other cancer patients through her work for American Cancer Society’s AstraZeneca Hope Lodge, where she used her design and architecture talents to create a peaceful retreat for those undergoing cancer treatment.
To honor Bobbi’s incredible life, family and friends will gather for a private celebration of life.
In lieu of sending flowers, the family asks you to consider a donation in Bobbi’s name to the AstraZeneca Hope Lodge, Boston, MA, www.tinyurl.com/BarbaraLDavis
