Beatrice (Lofchie) Trachtenberg died peacefully in her sleep Wednesday, 17 November 2021, just two months shy of her 100th birthday. It was a heck of a run. She will be missed by her three loving sons, Jordan (Susan), Mark (Andrea) and Larry (Patricia Loquet), her grandchildren Joanna, Michael (Leslie Foster), and Madeline Tractenberg, Chriselle Loquet (Michael Kogut), and her daughter-in-law, Susanne Loquet (wife of the late Peter Loquet), four great grandchildren Teddy, Max, Zoë, and Nate, as well as many nieces and nephews. Loving wife of Stanley for 57 years, and sister to Stanley, Bernard, Enid, and Teddy Lofchie, all of whom predeceased her. She will be missed by innumerable friends, relatives, and business colleagues, made over nearly ten decades of life, many of whom, related or not, called her Auntie Bea, Grandma Bea, or Mrs. T.

Services will be held at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel on Friday, November 19, at 9:30am. Interment will take place after the burial at Bessarabian Cemetery in Everett, MA.

Donations in Bea’s memory may be made to any of Temple Sinai (Brookline), The Boston Symphony Orchestra, or The Museum of Fine Arts.

My heartfelt condolences to Mark, Larry and Jordan and your entire family for the loss of your amazing spirited mom and grandmother. My mom Helen, now 91, just down the street from your old house, and I would see cheerful and spirited BEA at the polls on every election day, where she was happy to see us, gave her biggest smile and always asked me how I was doing. We were blessed to grow up in our old neighborhood with people like her! sending sincerest loving vibes, Michael, for myself and my mom Helen
