

Bernice “Betty” Louise Wolfe, 88, of Brookline, MA, passed away peacefully with family on Friday, June 12th, 2026.
Betty was predeceased by her companion Howard “Buddy” Boyle and her brother Arthur Segall.
Daughter of Etta and Bernard Segall, Betty was born in Boston, MA and was raised in Brighton, MA.
Betty attended Girls’ Latin School and Northeastern University. In her early career she was an elementary school teacher before dedicating herself to raising a family. Later in life she worked for an insurance company servicing individual policyholders. Betty always brought a smile and warmth to all her professional endeavors regardless of age.
Betty was an avid reader and enjoyed the classical theater productions and music of her era. She was always curious and could answer Jeopardy questions with the best of them. Her favorite time was being surrounded by her extended family, listening intently to the day-to-day escapades of her grandchildren.
In her later life, Betty developed and managed Parkinson's disease, showing the same level of strength and fortitude despite the escalating toll of the disease.
Betty was beloved by her sons, Lawrence Wolfe (Carol) and Bruce Wolfe (Liz) and her brother Barrie and wife Caroll Segall and her grandchildren Connor, Sarah, Caroline, Samantha and Jeremy as well as her great-grandson Jonah.
A funeral service will be at Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard Street, Brookline, MA on June 15th at 9:00 am. Interment will take place following the services at Mishkan Tefila Memorial Park, 2605 Centre Street, Boston, MA. Shiva will be held immediately afterwards at The Towers of Chestnut Hill as well as in Connecticut at a date to be determined.
