Bette Naomi (Levin) Levine, age 90, of Jamaica Plain, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2026, after a long illness.
Born in Hartford, CT, Bette was the daughter of Israel & Fanny Levin and the beloved sister of Ethalea. She built a life defined by love, devotion, and quiet generosity.
Bette is survived by her husband of 60 years, Philip Levine, and their two sons: Jonathan Levine & his wife Lisa, parents of Jacob, Ryan, and Benjamin; and Richard Levine & his wife Mary, parents of Andrew and Samantha.
Bette had a gift for giving. For many years she was a cherished volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House, offering comfort and compassion to families during their most difficult moments. An avid flower arranger, her bouquets were greatly admired by all who had the pleasure of receiving them. Each summer brought the family together at the beach in Niantic, CT, a tradition that she cherished.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her warmth.
