Caleb E. Spater

Caleb E. Spater, 22, of Boston, MA, passed away unexpectedly on May 27, 2025. Born in December 2002, Caleb was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend whose warmth and compassion touched the lives of many.

The cherished son of Edward and Karen Spater and loving brother of Isabel Spater, Caleb brought joy and light into the lives of all who knew him. He was the treasured grandson of Lawrence and Judith Bernstein and Albert Spater, and the devoted nephew of Sheryl and Marc Kaye and Shirley Spater.

Caleb found deep purpose in his work as a caregiver at Brigham and Women's Hospital, where his empathy and dedication shone every day. His patients and colleagues alike admired his genuine kindness and calm presence. Outside of his professional life, Caleb was a spontaneous and courageous traveler, always ready to explore the unknown and embrace new experiences with a sense of adventure that inspired those around him.

He had a special love for animals and held a deep bond with his dogs, Sam and Sargent. One of his greatest joys was fishing with his father, creating memories that will forever live in the hearts of his family. Caleb was also an officer of his local chapter of the New England Hemophilia Association (NEHA), where he generously dedicated countless hours in service to a cause close to his heart.
