Dear Lynne and Kenny,
I am saddened to hear of the passing of your father. I remember when I first met him on the Cape in 1968, he was somewhat reserved but what really impressed me about your father was his vast desire for knowledge. The last time I saw your father he was surrounded by his business associates and friends and it was easy to see how many people respected him just as I felt your father respected me the very first time I met him (I felt the same way about your mother too). Mr. Barron was not a "sign of the times", he was ahead of it.
My condolences to the entire Barron family.

I met Uncle Barron in 2011 as a Cambridge college student, he made me as his own and welcomed me as I am. The knowledge and wisdom you have imparted upon me has been a great help and support throughout my search for the right career. I am not there yet, but I believe my success would at least in part due to your sincere support and mentorship. You will forever remain a major contributor behind my success and achievements. To you dear family, please accept my sympathy.

We were truly honored to have spent time with this great gentleman. He was a man of many virtues and as I said to him on several occasions, he was a living member of the greatest generation to have ever lived. His interest in education and his being so present in our lives, made my experience at Cambridge College that much richer and rewarding. He taught us about a world of possibility and the importance of relationships. He asked that we always tell the truth. I will miss him dearly and express my deepest condolences to his entire family at this difficult time. May the peace of knowing he was loved and respected bring you some comfort. God, please grant him eternal rest and peace. With our deepest sympathies, Michael and Bert Thurlo-Walsh. Class of 2013 and 2010 / Cambridge College.

To dear Carl, a man who I met during the snuff bottle convention IN HAWAII with his lovely wife Ruth, both of whom become loved by the Hall family in England after very healthy and fascinating business transactions together, and I can feel, surely, that we all became firm friends too which is the perfect scenario.
Carl was philanthropic, generous, caring, fiercely family orientated and above all humorous, kind and compassionate. his regard for people of all nations, colours, religions and beliefs was a lesson for us all to learn. Not only did Carl help the local town of Cambridge in a huge and selfless manner but there were often waifs and strays he came into contact with too, whom he helped to get out of their misery and to get started again. The only thing Carl wanted in return was fairness, loyalty, honesty and hard work.
It will be extremely difficult to write enough words to describe Carl or even to get his myriad acts of kindness and generosity in the correct order, he was a giant in our life. The family of Halls, Robert (Bob), Lindsey, Gemma, Georgia and Genevieve feel very privileged and lucky to have met him during our lives. If anyone deserves to rest in peace, Carl does! We will truly miss this lovely man who set such an example to all he met.
Mr and Mrs Robert Hall and family, London, England.

A giant in the commercial real estate industry will be sorely missed by his (what I considered) surrogate son, the founder of the New England Real Estate Journal. He was always there for me and I totally appreciated it.

Thirty years ago when Carl Barron hired me, little did I realize the new opportunities he opened. His saavy business relationships, generosity, compassion and philanthropic endeavors shaped my world.
To this day, I smile recalling how much he loved chocolate and he shared this love with many. Mr. "B" was one of a kind, and surely will be missed. My condolences to the entire Barron family.

News of Carl Barron' passing was news no one of us fortunate enough to know him wanted to hear.
My late husband, Clifford, and I were two of the many such lucky ones – we knew the joy of Carl's friendship for over 35 years and felt that beloved Carl would live forever.
We loved to hear memories of his parents, rich inspirations in his life and the genesis of Carl's life-long ingenuity, steadfastness and generosity. His love and devotion to his late wife, Ruth, and his pride in their son, daughters, grand children and great grandchildren told an epic tale of an ever-giving and involved patriarch - loved and respected in turn by an ever-loving family. Carl was a teacher, a lover, and a giver. He gave of himself to his family, to his friends and to his community. Philanthropy was as vital to Carl as mentoring and teaching, all of these, vital to his every-day activities. To say that many will miss him is a huge understatement.
I wish the very best for his family and wish beloved Carl eternal peace.
