Carl Jonas Perlmutter, D.M.D., of Wellesley and Great Barrington passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda, his daughters, Susan Ahearn (Barry), Julia Samton (Zach), grandchildren, Hannah Ahearn, Jonah Samton, Zoe Samton, brother Prof. Richard Perlmutter and nephew Jason Perlmutter.
Carl graduated with his Bachelor's from the University of Vermont and went on to receive his degree in dentistry from Tufts University. He practiced orthodontics in Newton and Wellesley and leaves a legacy of over 6000 beautiful smiles. He was a clinical professor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine for over 40 years.
Carl was a renaissance man, avid fly fisherman and lover of nature. He will be missed by all who knew him.
A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, May 27, at 11:45am at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon, MA.
