Carol Lobron died peacefully on June 17, 2023. Born and raised in Chicago, she lived for many years in both Carlisle and Cambridge. She is survived by her daughter Alison (Peter Laipson) of Arlington; her son David (Alison) of Newton; her beloved grandchildren Shira Lobron, Gabriel Lobron and Jonathan Laipson; her former husband and dear friend Charles Lobron of Cambridge; and the family of her late brother, Rubin Saposnik.
A retired Chief Operating Officer of Combined Jewish Philanthropies as well as a health care executive, Carol was a friend and mentor to many, and she will be greatly missed.
Friends are welcome at her funeral service, Monday, June 19 at 12:30pm at Temple Shalom, 175 Temple Street, Newton. Burial will follow at the Beit Olam East Cemetery, 42 Concord Road, Wayland.
