

Carole (Lane) Frieband, of Framingham, Massachusetts, 85, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025.
She is survived by her husband Neil, son Tod and his wife Debra, daughter Lisa Filler and her husband Jed, daughter Kim Fama and her husband Russell, grandson Alex and his wife Anya, granddaughter Emily, grandson Aryeh and granddaughter Eliana. She is also survived by her brother Steven Lane, brother-in-law Michael Frieband and his wife Susan, and nieces, nephews and cousins spread out over the country.
She grew up in El Paso, TX, and met Neil on a blind date. They married and moved to Seattle, WA, where she graduated from Seattle University. They moved yet again to Huntsville, AL, and finally settled in Framingham, MA where they have lived for the past 61 years They were happily married for 64 years.
She loved being a stay-at home Mom for her 3 children and was a Cub Scout den mother and Brownie leader. When her youngest entered high school, she decided to become a travel agent. She traveled to many exotic locations and recently met her goal of visiting every one of the 50 states in the Union.
She loved to read, paint in oils, and research family genealogy. There was always a jigsaw puzzle on the table for her to complete. She loved spending time with her family and always looked forward to preparing holiday dinners.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 18th at 12:00pm at Congregation Beth El of the Sudbury River Valley, 105 Hudson Rd, Sudbury, MA, and will be livestreamed from the Congregations website at www.bethelsudbury.org/jewish-living/livestreaming . Interment will take place following the services at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon, MA.
Shiva will be held at the home of Neil Frieband on Wednesday & Thursday at 7:00pm-9:00pm, Sunday 2:00pm-5:00pm, and Monday at 7:00pm-9:00pm.
