

Cassandra Warshowsky, age 69, of Newton, MA, peacefully passed away on March 21st, surrounded by loved ones, after a long battle with ovarian cancer. Cassandra was born on October 20, 1953 to Solomon and Constance Warshowsky, and spent her childhood in Freeport, New York. Cassandra attended BU School of Theater, and then graduated from UMass Boston and obtained her law degree at Northeastern Law school.
After graduation, she worked as a clerk for Justice Neil Lynch of Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court before working at Palmer and Dodge as a civil litigator for over 15 years. Cassandra was extremely empathetic and so passionate about helping others and did pro bono work for the Greater Boston Legal Services and was the former President of the Boston Volunteer Lawyer for the Arts.
In year 1983, she met Jeffrey Colt while attending college in Boston. They went on to be married for over 35 years and had one son, Max Colt.
She dedicated her life to others, moving mountains and splitting seas for loved ones and strangers a like. She taught everyone around her what it meant to value the world and those around you like treasures, to fight for a just cause, to stand up for what you believe in and to always put compassion first. The lessons she taught us will stay engrained in our hearts and minds, allowing us to hear her voice and feel her hand on our shoulders every time we are courageous or bold.
Cassandra was predeceased by her father, Solomon. She is survived by her mother, Constance Warshowsky, her sister Nancy Warshowsky, her husband and son Jeffrey Colt and Max Colt.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 29th at 10:30 am at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, CANTON, MA, with interment to follow at Sharon Memorial Park, Sharon, MA . After the interment, a reception will be at Temple Ohabei Shalom, 1187 Beacon Street, Brookline until 3:30 pm. Memorial observance will continue on Thursday, March 30th from 4-7:00 pm at Connie Warshowsky's home and on Sunday, April 2nd from 2-4:00 pm at. Karen Isselbacher's home.
