Charles Gilbert

Charles Gilbert, formerly of Margate FL and Hull, MA was entered into rest August 3rd, 2013 at the age of 101. A veteran of the US Navy during WW II, he was a sheet metal worker in the roofing industry. The beloved husband of the late Mary (Cohen) Gilbert and loving brother of the late Frances Cohen, Sarah Pallin and Harry Gilbert, he is survived by his children Ethel and her husband Edward Curelop and Harvey R. and his wife Heather Ricker-Gilbert. He was also the cherished grandfather of Mark Curelop and his wife Lena Mandelis, Gary and his wife Louise, Jonathan and his wife Pam Curelop, Jacob Ricker-Gilbert and his wife Amanda, Rebecca and her husband Ben Elman, Alexander Ricker-Gilbert and great-grandchildren Craig, Samantha, Ari and Ian Henry. Services and interment will be held at the Crawford St. Memorial Park off Baker St in West Roxbury, MA on Monday, August 5th at 2 PM. Memorial observance will be at the home of Mark Curelop & Lena Mandelis from 1-7 PM through Wednesday evening. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be donated to a charity of your choice.
