Charles (Charlie) Rose died unexpectedly at the age of 93 on February 10. He was surrounded by his loving family until the very last. Charlie leaves behind his wife of 70 years Bernice (Berman) years. He also leaves his daughter Susan Rose of Brookline, son Alan Rose and his wife Pam (Yakely) of Sudbury, Stuart Rose and his wife Jan (Zuckerman) of Brookline, Mitchell Rose and his wife Carol (Wolk) of Sharon. He is also survived by his grandchildren Batya Rose, Rebecca McCormack and her husband Paul, Jennifer Rose, Jeremy Rose and his wife Paula, and Emily Rose. Charlie also leaves four beautiful great-grandchildren, Adina Rose, Colton McCormack, Eliana Rose and Kinsley McCormack.
Charlie was predeceased by his parents George and Beatrice Rose and his sister and her husband Miriam and Ken Leavitt.
Charlie was a kind and easy going man who was loved by many. He was friendly with his Tufts fraternity brothers his whole life. He loved to play cards, and would play bridge or poker almost every day. After retiring from a long and successful career with the US Navy civil service he had a second career working for HR Block which he only stopped at the start of the pandemic. A longtime Red Sox and Patriots fan, he will be missed by many friends and family and remembered as a really nice guy.
