Charlotte Kladky Housman

Charlotte (Kladky) Housman, age 90 years, of Newton, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Monday, July 30, 2012. She was born December 13, 1921. For 69 years, she was the beloved wife of Edward L. Housman. Loving mother of Jeanne Housman, Mark Housman and the late Judy Housman. Cherished grandmother of Danny Allman, Amanda Allman & Soulayphet Schwader, Douglas Housman, Jared Housman, Elizabeth Housman & Jonah Cohen, Sarah Housman & Joseph Grossman and great grandmother of Hannah Grossman. Dear sister of the late Hilda Eisenstadt, Henrietta Duchin and Edmund Kladky. Charlotte was a champion golfer, bridge player, world traveler, philanthropist and baker and her laughter brightened many lives. Nobody made a better apple pie or stuffed cabbage. She loved the flowers in her garden but above all else, loved her family. Services at the Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard St., Brookline on Wednesday, August l at 3:00pm. Interment at Adath Israel Cemetery, 350 Grove Street, West Roxbury. Memorial observance at her late residence following interment through 9pm and continuing Thursday 1-4pm & 7-9pm and Friday 1-4pm (Minyan 7:30pm).
