Claire (Rosenfeld) Novack

Claire (Rosenfeld) Novack, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 17, 2025 in Scottsdale, AZ, where she had been living since May 2022.

For 61 years, she was the devoted wife of the late Richard “Dick” Novack. She is survived by her beloved and devoted children Karyn and Larry & his wife. She is also survived by 3 nieces, 2 nephews, a grandniece, 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 4 great grandnieces and nephews.

Claire was the last survivor of her generation. She was the youngest daughter of the late Samuel & Mollie (Luxenberg) Rosenfeld and sister to the late Sara Levenson and Jack Rosenfeld. She and Dick were married in 1955 at Temple Emeth, Chestnut Hill. The most important thing in her life was her family!

Claire was a Candy Striper in WWII, and often helped soldiers write letters back home. Above all, she was devoted to her husband, her family, and especially her children, they were her world. She loved reading, traveling, history, ancient architecture, learning anything new, and had a passion for music and the arts. In her later years, she became curious about the planet we lived on and wondered if we were truly alone. When she was younger, she was very active in her children’s school. She was PTA president, room mother and Girl Scout troop leader when those things still existed! She was an amazing mother and an elegant woman with a kind & gentle soul. Her heart was made of pure 24K gold. When she loved, she loved unconditionally. She will be missed by so many wonderful friends and family, for all eternity. Bless her soul!

Interment will follow at Sharon memorial Park, 41 Dedham St., Sharon.

Shiva on Tuesday, June 10 at the Boston Marriott Newton, 2345 Commonwealth Ave., Newton from 12pm-6pm.
