Deborah J. Bernstein

Debbie Bernstein of Billerica, formerly of Framingham, on July 31, 2026 at the age of 82. Beloved wife of the late Howard Bernstein. Devoted mother of Martin Bernstein and his wife Pam Oxenberg. Loving sister of Michael Sternberg, Polly Goldberg, and Jonathan Lief. Debbie doted on her two cats, Gussie and Charlie, and was smitten with her grand-puppy Jerome.

Debbie’s education was in cultural anthropology, which informed her fascination with people in all their variety, her passion for social justice, and her love of her cooking with a global flare, but especially Indian cuisine. She enjoyed the arts and outdoor pursuits, including hiking, birding and gardening.

A funeral service will be held at Congregation Beth El, 105 Hudson Rd, Sudbury, on Friday, July 7th at 11:00am. Interment to follow at Beit Olam East.
