

Dora Beygelmakher (Segal), age 92 of Brookline, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on May 5, 2026. Born in Moldova, Dora was the daughter of Ida and Pyotr Segal. As a holocaust survivor and orphan at a young age, Dora was very resilient. Dora emigrated from Odessa , Ukraine and arrived in Boston in 1978 along with her husband, daughter-i-n law and granddaughter. After her arrival to Boston, she worked in a factory assembling parts which she had to take 2 buses each way to get to and from work. Dora was one of the most selfless people who went out of her way to help everyone near and dear to her. Dora spent her life devoting herself to her family and friends. An amazing cook, she loved preparing delicious meals for her family. She enjoyed traveling, social events and sharing holidays and special occasions with loved ones. Following the loss of her beloved husband Shimon to bladder cancer in 1994 she retired from her work at the factory. Dora spent her retirement enjoying shopping outings, traveling,and spending time with family and significant others. Dora was loved by all who knew her. Dora leaves behind her daughter-in-law Fanya Pliszka, granddaughter Marina and her husband Jonathan, and great granddaughter Gabrielle Chyten, her son Issak Beygelmakher, grandchildren Phillip, Jacob, Sanna, and Nina, sister Eva, cousin Ida as well as great grandchildren Lucas, Phillip, Malina, and Penelope. Dora will be greatly missed and left a lasting imprint on everyone's heart.
