I had been thinking of Dr. Barton recently and was saddened to see she had passed. I was one of her patients back in the early 90's. She had an amazing demeanor about her, warmth, comfort and professionalism. She will be missed very much.

I just found out today that Dr. Barton has passed.  I am so saddened and feel tremendous sorrow for her family.  She has been my Dr. for many years, and her bedside manner was amazing.  She was so easy to talk with, so comforting and reassuring and was an incredible Dr.  I will really miss her.

I was so shocked and deeply saddened to find out just recently that Dr. Barton has passed away.  I was one of her very first patients back in 1981 when she started her practice.  I was a scared 10 year old little girl with tummy problems and Dr. Barton just had this lovely comforting charm about her. I moved to Westford in 2011 and ended up moving all of my medical care over to Emerson Hospital in Concord. I had been thinking about her a lot lately and was going to send her a card to say hello and to thank her for giving me such wonderful care for over 30 years, and I was actually recommending her to one of my neighbors who was having some gastro problems, when said neighbor told me that she had heard that Dr. Barton passed away.  I immediately burst into tears.  She meant so much to me.  I am so deeply sorry for her family's loss, as well as her friends, colleagues and especially her dedicated staff of employees :(

My heart felt condolences to the family of Dr. Barton. She was my doctor for a short time and had to do two procedures on me. I will never forget her compassion, kindness and nurturing during my procedures when I was petrified. 
You will be sorely missed Doctor Barton. Thank you so much for everything. May you rest in peace.

Very sad to have just found out the passing of Dr. Barton. My mother ( who passed back in 2012) and myself were patients of hers. I was a patient of Dr. Barton, and in shock of her passing she was a very professional, compassionate, understanding Dr. There is no other like her I've had many of Drs. believe me there is none like her. As a college roommate of Doree's I knew her before she decided to become a doctor, and watched her decide how to use her great talents in her life's work. She was already deeply in love with and loved by Danny. May her memory be a blessing.

I first met Doree 23 years ago as a new doctor in a new community on my first weekend on call back when there were 3 hospitals in Lowell. She immediately appreciated my plight and helped me make it through that first trying weekend which I never forgot. Over the ensuing years my respect for her grew, finding her to be an astute clinician, a warm and caring doctor, and a wonderful colleague, always with time for you despite her busy schedule. I share the sadness will all who have posted their sentiments, with my deepest sympathy to her family and loved ones. Her absence will be felt by all in the community whose lives she has touched during her long and successful career.

My deepest sympathies to Dr Barton's family.  I was so sad to hear of her passing.  I knew her back since the old St Johns days at the beginning of my nursing career.  She was a great mentor and a very caring and compassionate doctor.  I learned a great deal from her working with her especially helping me become an experienced endoscopy nurse in my last years at Saints .  She recently took time out of her busy schedule to check on me when I had my own endoscopy procedure by another physician.  She will be truly missed.

Doree was my desk mate in 5th and 6th grade. Her task was to have me keep my desk and cubby neat. It was an impossible task as I am still a slob. Doree was patient and caring. She was as beautiful inside as she was outside. I bless her soul to rise higher and higher in heaven.
