Edith (Wolf) Sandy, of Lexington on Saturday, December 10, 2016. Beloved wife of Frank Sandy. Devoted mother of Ruth Yeiser and her husband Charles of Schwenksville, PA and Michael Sandy of Portland, Oregon. Loving grandmother of Aaron & Benjamin Yeiser and Delenn Sandy.

Services at Temple Isaiah, 55 Lincoln Street, Lexington on Tuesday, December 13 at 10:30AM. Interment at Westview Cemetery, Lexington. Memorial observance at her late residence on Tuesday and Wednesday 4-8PM with Minyan on Wednesday at 7:30pm. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Appalachian Mountain Club, 5 Joy Street, Boston, MA 02108 or Union of Concerned Scientists, 2 Brattle Square, Cambridge, MA 02138.

She has a Bachelor's degree from Barnard College and worked as a Computer Programmer at the MIT Supersonic Lab and later as a Systems Programmer at MITRE Corp. She was an avid hiker and canoeist. She has served as an elected Town Meeting Member in Lexington for 46 years.
