Edward (Eddie) Burmon of Newton, MA, passed away on August 18th at home after a long battle with cancer.
Eddie is survived by his daughter Lynn and granddaughter Ella, his brother David (Kayo) and his best friend Eddie Murray.
Eddie grew up in Newton, where he learned the printing trade. Over the course of an eventful career, he lived not only in Boston, but in Florida, Las Vegas, and New Jersey.
His life was tumultuous, chaotic, and never boring. He brought passion to every endeavor and was a loyal friend and confidant.
In his later years, he formed a love affair with golf. His golf buddies became an important part of his joy as they rode each other over missed putts and quality drives. Being with friends was Eddie's favorite thing.
Over the last five years of his life he actually learned about love from Kim Ha and her daughters Amanda and Lilly. His final sadness was leaving them.
Eddie will be missed by many and forgotten by none.
The Funeral Service will be held at Levine Chapels, 470 Harvard St., Brookline, on Sunday, August 23rd, at 10:00am.
Eddie requested that any donations in remembrance of him be directed to the Dana Farber Cancer Center/The Jimmy Fund: danafarber.jimmyfund.org
