Dr. Edward M. Salamoff (71), of Natick on Monday, June 30, 2014. For 48 years, he was the beloved husband of Susan (Glickman) Salamoff. Loving father of Adam & Barbara Salamoff of Irvine, CA and Paul & Melissa Salamoff of Burbank, CA. Adored grandfather of Sydnee & Kyle and Samantha & Ethan.
Known for his sense of humor, Edward considered himself an “interested” person and had an insatiable pursuit for knowledge and an affinity for people and their lives. He deeply cared, not only for his family, but also for his friends and dental patients.
A respected Dentist for over 40 years with a practice in Brookline and Natick, it was more than just a job to him and he took great pride in it participating as a member of the Mass Dental Society and the Metropolitan District Dental Association.
An active member of the Natick community, he was a Town Meeting Member for over 35 years. He also served as Chair of the Advisory Committee to the Sassamon Trace Golf Course and President of the Friends of Sassamon Trace.
An honorably discharged Captain from the United States Army, he was also a Mason and a member of Brookline Rotary. He enjoyed mentoring students and was active in several charities including Mickey’s kids.
Services at Temple Israel of Natick, 145 Hartford St., Natick on Thursday, July 3 at 10:00am. Burial in the Framingham Natick Jewish Cemetery, Natick. Memorial observance at his late residence immediately following the burial through 7pm, Friday 1-4pm and Sunday 1-4pm. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to a charity of your choice.
